We humans are mere extensions of these places, walking around in our lives, connected to a sense of wildness that is barely containable. that overflows from our chests. Capturing these places of home, of our sources of that innate wildness, is a true gift.
I started climbing because it allowed me to focus on my breath and movements, to have a few moments all to myself with just my breathing and my body on the wall. And the love for that quietness that the rock brings, opened me up to a love and a community I had never known before.
Sitting quiet on the ground, covered in leaves and dirt, holding my breathe still, eyes open wide to watch what comes into view and just sitting for hours watching and experiencing a beauty that will happen whether we are there to capture it or not. This is what makes photographing animals some of the most divine moments I have had the pleasure of experiencing.
Thankful to know and capture the love and power of these daring and extraordinary women. Their vulnerability and honesty to open up to me about their life and step in front of my lens is something I honor and cherish.
With Only a Backpack
Who knew the feeling of home, the feeling of belonging, could come from putting two straps on your shoulders and walking into the woods.
Travel - The Road Trip
An ode to trying, an ode to taking really big chances whether thats buying an old rusty car or giving someone yourself, an ode to loving things really hard and an ode to learning to let those things go when it’s time.
Travel - Nepal
I came to Nepal to feel like I was closer to my goal in wildlife biology, I came to feel like I knew what I wanted to do and what that would feel like. But by the time I arrived in the mountains, I realize I was more running away from things. From fear of not being good enough to achieve my childhood dreams, from fear of thinking my past was going to continue to have a hold onto me, from fear of who I really was and what that looked like. The mountains held me, they gave me the quietest space in the world to reflect and hold my fear up to the light. Once the the mountains I called home for those months wrapped my fears and past in its peaks, was I finally able to move forward and say, “this is who I am and this is what I am here for.”
Travel - Greece
Traveling to Greece with a girl I met by pure chance, only to have her call me three weeks after our first hike together to say, “Tickets to Greece are going for super cheap right now, I’m gonna go, do you want to come with me?” So I went, and it changed me in ways I am still discovering.

Collaboration with Verve Coffee Roasters for their new coffee blends and merchandise.
Project - Lady Skaters
A project piece I did on three female skateboarders in Santa Cruz, CA. With each photograph came interviews of their experiences about being a woman in a male dominated sport. I hope these photos portray the drive for individuality while having few role models to lean on for a real depiction of what can be possible for women in this sport. It’s about finding your rhythm, finding your flow, and finding your sisters.
